Materials needed
Two pieces of fabric
(one solid color the other printed),
34 x 40 cm (14¼" x 15¾")
Timtex:
One piece, 26 x 18 cm (10¼" x 7⅛")
Two pieces, 26 x 6 cm (10¼" x 2⅜")
Two pieces, 18 x 6 cm (7⅛" x 2⅜")
1,30 m (51¼") of pleated bias
Mark horizontal and
vertical lines between the pieces of Timtex. Remove Timtex.
Place
and pin the embroidered fabric over the printed fabric, fold to mark the
lines traced on printed fabric.
Place
the fabric squared and centered under the needle (See My Repositionning
Technique).
Embroider the design.Place printed fabric (wrong side towards you).
Place the pieces of Timtex ½ cm (¼") apart (see picture)
Cut
the fabric and fold in four to mark the center, the horizontal and vertical
axis.
Place some tear away taut in the hoop and select the design to be
embroidered.
Set the hoop so that the needle is exactly in the center of the hoop.
Cut
Timtex following the sizes given above
Sew together on 3 of the
4 sides the two layers of fabric.
Insert the big piece of Timtex and sew the 4th
side. The basket bottom is now completed
